Marble tables, velvet banquettes and a proper café crème. Six things done in the old Parisian style — unhurried and just so.

We inherited the room, the mirrors and the brass — and the idea that a café should feel like an occasion, even at eight in the morning. So we polish the cups, warm the milk properly, and never rush a good conversation.
Sit by the mirror. Order a second.
On the boulevard by the opera house, under the plane trees. Made for a coffee and a long look at the passers-by.
